Abstract

The author reports on a one-day conference held at the IALS in May 2011 considering the benefits and closer cooperation following from the accession of the European Union (EU) to the Council of Europe European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (ECHR), setting out the case for accession and necessary preparations for accession.
