Abstract

Article on proposed changes to the Law Society Rules governing solicitors' conflicts of interest by Chris Perrin (Executive Partner and General Counsel, Clifford Chance LLP and Chairman, City of London Law Society Working Party on Review of Conflict Rules). The article is followed by the text of the Solicitors' Practice (Conflict) Amendment Rule (2004). Article based on a presentation to the Society for Advanced Legal Studies and published in Amicus Curiae - Journal of the Society for Advanced Legal Studies.
