Abstract

The author gives some of her views on the future for the legal profession in England and Wales following the introduction of the Legal Services Act, which gained Royal Assent on October 30, 2007. Appended to this paper is a summary of the questions posed to the Ombudsman and Commissioner following her speech, together with an overview of her answers.
