Abstract

Lord Justice Keene considers the role of Judges and the judiciary and public confidence in their work in the United Kingdom at the start of the 21st century, including an assessment of the impact of the Human Rights Act 1998. Article based on the Fifth Annual Lecture presented to the Society for Advanced Studies on the 12th June 2002 by Lord Justice Keene - published in Amicus Curiae - Journal of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and its Society for Advanced Legal Studies.
