Abstract

Commentary looking at the Pakistan National Shipping case of 1997 in which the author aims to demonstrate that identifiable analogues, of propriety between jurisdiction/acquisition or declension and the law applicable to the merits, have much to commend them as indicators of the developments anticipated in the broader field of private international legal process. Article by Olusoji Elias (member of the IBA International Litigation Committee) published in Amicus Curiae - Journal of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and its Society for Advanced Legal Studies.
