Abstract

With reference to relevant case law, the author examines commitments to fairness at work and pressure on employers to adopt ethical employment practices which take full account of issues such as workplace smoking and discriminatory treatment. Article by Martin Edwards (Head of Employment Law, Mace & Jones of Liverpool & Manchester) published in Amicus Curiae - Journal of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and its Society for Advanced Legal Studies.
