Abstract

Victor Tunkel (Queen Mary, University of London) considers the case of Saunders v UK (1997) 23 EHRR 313 in the European Court of Human Rights and the anomalies arising from the Court’s decision that Mr Saunders was denied a fair trial in the first Guinness prosecution which would need to be addressed  as the Convention becomes domestic law. Note published in Amicus Curiae - Journal of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and its Society for Advanced Legal Studies.
