Abstract

Victor Tunkel (Queen Mary, University of London) considers the case of Saunders v UK (1997) 23 EHRR 313 in the European Court of Human Rights and the anomalies arising from the Court’s decision that Mr Saunders was denied a fair trial in the first Guinness prosecution which would need to be addressed  as the Convention becomes domestic law. Note published in Amicus Curiae - Journal of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and its Society for Advanced Legal Studies. The Journal is produced by the Society for Advanced Legal Studies at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London.
